EASTER AT MOM'S HOUSE!
K- I have to apologize in advance for posting basically three of the same pictures… I started working on this post and then stopped and came back to it and forgot that I already chose those other pictures. I couldn’t seem to figure out how to delete the picture from posting either. Sorry! Anyway, we went to my mom’s house for a little Easter brunch… My family is so crazy, I love it! If humor wasn’t a part of life then my family would die… When we get together we always laugh and laugh and love every second of it!!! We may be a bit dysfunctional, but we sure are fun to be around. I’m glad my husband and Estee’s husband are so adaptable. They are great!!!
Me, Estee and Robie pretending to ride this sweet scooter!
This is our "JUMPING" picture...What do you think? I had forgotten all about the “JUMPING” pictures until my little sister Sarah came in the house and told me to get my camera so that we could take “jumping” pics… I can’t jump near as well as I used to…SAD! But if you are ever feeling a bit down, go get your camera and have someone take “jumping” pictures and you will cheer right up. It’s so funny when you’re trying to jump at just the right time and get as high as you can and then you look at the picture and you are two inches off the ground and making the funniest looking face. GOOD TIMES!!!
THAT'S MY FAMILY! :)

RASCAL FLATTS CONCERT

If anyone is asking themselves if Shane is trying to force a smile you’re right! I felt so bad… I was at work earlier that day and received a text from a girl friend that asked if anyone wanted Rascal Flatt tickets? If so call me!!! I totally wanted to go cause I’ve heard they are pretty good in concert, plus Kelly Pickler was opening for them and she is hilarious! Anyway, I called my husband to ask if he would want to go and he of course asked where the seats were. (SMART!) I told him the seats should be pretty good because they are row 14. I didn’t think that 14 rows up, was too bad at all. So I called my brother who lives in Provo to ask him if he could pick up the tickets and then he and his girlfriend could ride up with us because they already had tickets and were planning on going. Well we got there, walked in and then asked a worker to direct us to our seats. They said to go up to the second floor and then go into your portal. I couldn’t believe it, we got to our seats and not one person was behind us! We were the very last people at the very top. You could barely see the stage it was horrible but hilarious at the same time. It was still a good concert and we’re glad we still went because now we have a lot more appreciation for some of the things we took for granted!!! Maybe next time I’ll look up exactly where the seats are before committing to anything…

THE OPERA AT CAPITOL THEATRE

We decided to become a little more cultured so we went to the Opera! The story was the Italian version of Cinderella which is interesting. We enjoyed it but when all said and done if we had a choice to either go see a great new movie or go to the opera... We would definitely choose a great new movie.

HAPPY 12th BIRTHDAY PARKER

I can't believe my little brother is 12! He is getting his priesthood on Easter Sunday and is so excited. He asked for scriptures for one of his birthday presents, which he recieved and I thought was so cute! It's crazy becasue I think all these young kids are all growing up too fast when really I'm just getting older... :)

BLOWING OUT THE CANDLES!!!

Parker's funny... Most people try to blow out all the candles at once. Not Parker... He blew one out at a time!

OUR NEW PUPPY!
This is our new puppy! I think in this picture our little puppy is only about 5 or 6 weeks old, but we were'nt able to take her home until she was 8 weeks old. Shane was way more excited than I because I knew it would be more work than I wanted... We already have a one year old black lab that we rescued last spring in a field behind our home- Her name is Daisy Duke, and is actually a really good dog! Our dogs are OUTDOOR dogs, but in the winter we put them in a kennel inside so they don't freeze their little arses off... As soon as it gets warm enough, they will both be outside full time!
KONA
It took us about a week to finally settle on a name for this cute pup! We decided on KONA. In this picture Kona is 8 weeks old. SO CUTE!

Kona's first bath!

She actually did pretty good. We have bathed her 3 times already so I think she is staring to like her bath time now :)

Yes, I blow dried her hair! I wanted her to dry fast so that I could hold her without getting wet! She was ready for a nap after her bath, it was so cute!

REMODELING
We’ve decided to get serious about remodeling the house! We refinished the kitchen cabinets last spring and just had all the interior painted last month- We chose warmer colors to make the house a little more comfy! The kitchen is a rust color while the rest of the house is a yellowish-gold color. WE LOVE IT! We recently put up a cute pot rack and decided our style has a Tuscan feel; so we topped it off with a Travertine backsplash- Now we really like the kitchen! Shane measured and placed the stone while I cut it- It was fun but a lot of work. The next thing on the list is to finish our stair railing- Shane and a friend put up a new hand rail and box newels but we still don’t have balusters- We’ve decided on a wrought iron that we both like. It’s been scary to have kids (especially the rowdy scouts) play on the stairs without the balusters installed! So, if we can find some cute couches and furniture for the living room we’ll be set (for now!).
Shane tore off the old backsplash- We're getting serious!
OUR NEW BACKSPLASH! (ALMOST DONE)
WE HAD TO COMPLETELY STRIP THE WHOLE FIREPLACE...MORE THAN WE WERE EXPECTING! IT WILL BE WORTH IT THOUGH!
WE ARE PUTING NEW STONE ON THE FIREPLACE NOW. WE JUST CAN'T STOP WITH THE PROJECTS! :)
PICTURES OF THE COMPLETED PROJECTS TO COME....
